Kristy Lee – Surrender to get what you Desire
Podcast featuring host Aron O’Dowd interviewing psychic reader and “word whisperer” Kristy Lee.
Kristi explains she’s been intuitive since childhood but began consciously developing her abilities in her early twenties after learning scrying at a spiritual site on Casper Mountain. She kept her gifts private for years due to fear, a religious upbringing, and living in the Bible Belt, before becoming more public after a major healing experience: breaking her back and, in a moment of desperation, “speaking” her recovery into existence. After that, she says she could sense people’s physical issues and emotional root causes and use words/energy to help.
A major section covers a period of homelessness that followed her decision to fully commit to her spiritual path. She describes “drawing a line in the sand,” praying for anything misaligned to fall away, and then losing money/ID and sleeping on a beach. She frames what followed as surrender leading to synchronicity and provision, strangers offering food, money, and a place to stay, plus later living in a tent community where she felt she helped shift energy and witnessed people’s lives improve. A key turning point is meeting a woman whose child was named “Hope,” which Kristi interprets as an answer to her prayer, along with repeated encouragement to “own your worth,” helping her accept being paid for her work.
Kristi also describes a river baptism as a powerful spiritual awakening that didn’t change her belief in “oneness” but heightened her perception. She connects her methods to “red-letter” teachings of Jesus, speaking things into and out of existence, alongside practices like Reiki, qigong, yoga, and self-study of meridians/energy systems. She says much of her work is distance healing, and that she “gets out of the way” so “spirit” can speak through her to a person’s higher self, often addressing what they really need beneath their stated question.
She outlines her central framework as “higher mind vs lower mind”: lower mind is fear, limitation, and doom; higher mind is alignment, surrender, co-creation, and guidance. Her advice for shifting is to feel emotions without being consumed, surrender, ask for help, and stop repeating disempowering stories. Rewriting the past, she says, requires real healing (not “spiritual bypassing”) so pain can be transformed into wisdom, “poison into medicine.”
The interview ends with her show name Tap and Tune In (tapping into and tuning into one’s inner essence), her guiding message (“say yes to you” and “own your elixir”), why saying “no” is hard (conditioning/people-pleasing), and where to find her. The transcript also includes brief post-recording chat reflecting on how expansive her story is and how more healers are accessible now than when she began.
